Dự án Nhà máy điện LNG Long An
Được biết, dự án Nhà máy điện LNG Long An I và II đặt tại huyện Cần Giuộc, tỉnh Long An. Đây là dự án nhà máy điện đầu tiên ở Việt Nam được chấp thuận chuyển đổi công nghệ từ nhiệt điện chạy than sang sử dụng khí thiên nhiên hóa lỏng.
Dự án đã được phê duyệt trong Quy hoạch Điện VIII của Việt Nam công bố vào tháng 5/2023 và đang được tích cực triển khai kể từ khi được cấp Giấy chứng nhận đăng ký đầu tưvào tháng 3/2021.
Tổng mức đầu tư hai nhà máy điện (nhà máy tuabin khí chu trình hỗn hợp) và hệ thống kho chứa LNG ước tính khoảng 3,13 tỷ USD, diện tích mặt đất sử dụng khoảng 85 ha.
Theo đó, khi đi vào hoạt động đồng bộ, hai nhà máy sẽ có tổng công suất phát điện là 3,000 MW được truyền tải lên lưới điện quốc gia thông qua hợp đồng mua bán điện sẽ được ký kết với Tập đoàn Điện lực Việt Nam (EVN).
Ông Yoon Hee-seong, Tổng Giám đốc KEXIM cho biết: "Việt Nam đang thúc đẩy chuyển đổi năng lượng từ sản xuất điện than sang sản xuất điện khí và dự kiến sẽ có các đơn đặt hàng cho các dự án quy mô lớn trong tương lai. Do các nhà máy điện LNG Long An là một dự án hợp tác điển hình đã được Chính phủ Việt Nam trao giấy chứng nhận đầu tư nên KEXIM sẽ tích cực hỗ trợcác doanh nghiệp và nhà thầu EPC Hàn Quốc tham gia vào dự án".
Về phía VinaCapital, ông Don Lam, Tổng Giám đốc công ty chia sẻ: "Các nhà máy điện tại Long An sẽ đóng vai trò quan trọng trong việc sản xuất điện sạch cho toàn khu vực miền Nam và tiếp tục thúc đẩy tăng trưởng kinh tế của khu vực”.
Ông cũng đánh giá cao sự hỗ trợ từ phía KEXIM và hoan nghênh sự tham gia của các công ty Hàn Quốc khác vào dự án này.
