Tuyến đường 6.400 tỉ đồng nối cao tốc với khu vực mới lên thành phố của Quảng Ninh được gia hạn

UBND tỉnh Quảng Ninh vừa gia hạn dự án đường 6.400 tỷ đồng kết nối cao tốc Hạ Long - Hải Phòng với thị xã Đông Triều thêm 9 tháng, tức đến 9/2025 hoàn thành.

Dự án đường ven sông Đá Bạch kết nối cao tốc Hạ Long - Hải Phòng đến thị xã Đông Triều được phê duyệt cuối năm 2021, đi qua thị xã Quảng Yên, TP Uông Bí và TP Đông Triều.

Tuyến đường dài 40,25 km, mỗi chiều có ba làn xe, dải đất ở giữa rộng trên 40 m để dự phòng mở rộng. Đoạn qua thị xã Quảng Yên dài một km, qua TP Uông Bí 13,5 km, qua TP Đông Triều 26,5 km. Toàn tuyến có 13 cầu vượt sông, 10 nút giao cùng mức, ba hầm chui dân sinh, hệ thống điện chiếu sáng, an toàn giao thông đồng bộ.

Theo UBND tỉnh Quảng Ninh, tuyến đường có ý nghĩa chiến lược, hiện thực hóa mục tiêu xây dựng hành lang kinh tế phía Tây của tỉnh, kết nối với đồng bằng sông Hồng và Thủ đô Hà Nội, định hướng phát triển chuỗi đô thị công nghiệp xanh, du lịch văn hóa lịch sử, mở ra cơ hội phát triển mới cho vùng và liên vùng.

Theo kế hoạch ban đầu, dự án sẽ hoàn thành cuối năm 2024. Tuy nhiên, 13 cầu cơ bản mới thi công xong móng, trụ và đang lao lắp, làm mặt cầu, xử lý nền đất yếu đường dẫn đầu cầu. Các gói thầu thi công đường thực hiện không liền mạch, chủ yếu mới thay đất yếu, làm hệ thống thoát nước và chưa đắp nền đường.

Nguyên dự án chậm tiến độ là do đường thi công trên nền địa chất yếu, cần thời gian gia cố. Ngoài ra, hai năm qua mưa nhiều, nguồn vật liệu san lấp lại khan hiếm. Vì vậy lãnh đạo tỉnh Quảng Ninh đã đồng ý gia hạn dự án đến ngày 2/9/2025.

Đông Triều là thành phố thứ 5 của tỉnh Quảng Ninh kể từ ngày 1/11/2024. Trước đó, Ủy ban Thường vụ Quốc hội đã thông qua Nghị quyết về việc thành lập thành phố Đông Triều, thuộc tỉnh Quảng Ninh, trên cơ sở thị xã Đông Triều.

Việc thành lập thành phố Đông Triều phù hợp với quy hoạch tổng thể phát triển kinh tế - xã hội của tỉnh Quảng Ninh, định hướng tới năm 2030 đã được Thủ tướng Chính phủ phê duyệt. Cụ thể, thành phố Đông Triều sẽ giữ nguyên hiện trạng của thị xã Đông Triều với diện tích 395,95 km², dân số 249.000 người và bao gồm 4 phường: Bình Dương, Thủy An, Bình Khê và Yên Đức.

HĐND tỉnh Quảng Ninh thông qua Nghị quyết về việc tán thành chủ trương thành lập các phường: Bình Dương, Thủy An, Bình Khê, Yên Đức thuộc thị xã Đông Triều và thành lập thành phố Đông Triều thuộc tỉnh Quảng Ninh.

Sau khi thành lập, thành phố Đông Triều có 21 đơn vị hành chính cấp xã trực thuộc, gồm 14 phường và 7 xã.

Hiện nay, Quảng Ninh là địa phương có nhiều thành phố nhất cả nước gồm: Thành phố Hạ Long, Thành phố Móng Cái, Thành phố Uông Bí và Thành phố Cẩm Phả. Và nếu chủ trương này được Ủy ban Thường vụ Quốc hội thông qua, Quảng Ninh sẽ có 5 thành phố trực thuộc gồm: Hạ Long, Cẩm Phả, Uông Bí, Móng Cái và Đông Triều.
